Y5 and 6 Willow - Mrs Adelantado
Welcome back Year 6!
Please see the attached overview (below) of what the children will be learning this term.
Miss Graham will be teaching Monday-Tuesday and Mrs Coley will teach Wednesday-Friday. We can't wait to have fun and learn lots with you this year.
General information:
Homework is set on a Friday and is due in the following Wednesday.
PE is on a Tuesday and Wednesday. Please make sure you come dressed in PE kits appropriate for warm/cold weather (see uniform policy).

Information Evening Powerpoint
Safety Day! Some of the things we learnt on the day were: how to put someone in the recovery position, what to do if someone is choking and the community police officers gave us lots of useful information on how to stay safe online.
Our DT pop up books for children lower down in the school. Guess which nursery rhymes they are based on!
Ancient Greek Day!
Congratulations to Daisy, Freddie and Aaron, our Willow Children's Council representatives! A lot of children in the class took part in the process, where candidates presented their persuasive speeches and the rest of the class cast their votes, well done to everyone that had a go at applying.
Hundertwasser Art: Using the work of Hundertwasser as our inspiration, Willow class have really enjoyed this art unit.
We spent the first lesson drawing a house from observation, concentrating on the shapes and textures within the buildings. We then focussed on one section of the house to create a print. After we drew random shapes and shading to the house to break up the monotony of straight lines and carried out some further research into Hundertwasser. Look out for our final pieces coming soon!
