The Instrument of Government (Updated in Academic Year 2015) states that the Governing Body shall consist of 12 Governors as follows:
3 Parent Governors / 1 Headteacher / 1 Staff / 1 Local Authority / 6 Co-opted Governors
* Local Authority Governor is nominated by the Local Authority, Parent Governors are elected by the parent body and Staff Governors are elected by the staff body of the school.
** All Governors’ terms of office are 4 years.
The FGB agreed to the Guest attendance of the DHT for 2025-26, as appropriate.
The Governing Body appointed A Finance Committee, a Curriculum Committee and a Pay Committee in September 2025/26 – other committees will be appointed as and when required:
Finance – meets four times a year
Curriculum – meets three times a year
Pay – meets as directed by the ratified Pay Policy /and as required.
Heads Performance Management Panel – meets once and makes a recommendation to Pay Committee regarding Headteacher’s Pay decision.
The Full Governing Body ratifies decisions following recommendation from the committees/panel above (unless otherwise stated in School Policy/Terms of Reference/Scheme of Delegation), and all minutes are available upon application to School, with the exception of confidential minutes.
