Christmas Performance

Meet the team

These are just some of the amazing homework projects based on Sir Isaac Newton. He would be very impressed!

Our beatbox assembly

Our end of year disco

DT Day: We learned about food seasonality and hygiene/safety in the kitchen. We then made vegetable tarts and fruit kebabs which really impressed our parents!

Today we had a visit from Sublime Science who showed us how science is present in all aspects of our daily lives. We all had a fantastic time with lots of fun and interesting things to do!

In science this week we looked at the work of Sir Isaac Newton, particularly focusing on how to refract light.

Memories of our wonderful Sports Day event - so lovely to hear everyone cheering again!

Memories of our Jubilee Day celebrations

These amazing recycling heroes were created during the Easter holiday by Y3-4 children (and possibly some parents too!).

House Point Certificates Assembly March 2022 - didn't we do well!

We managed to complete 7 Cliffedale Challenges on our recent Glow Day.  These included holding a minibeast; making a grass trumpet (I am still determined to sound less like a duck!); building a den to see how many people could fit inside; designing a container to hold an egg then launching it - hopefully without cracking the egg shell; painting Stone Age cave art, reading a story to someone from another class and finally making and flying our own kites.  We even managed to go and meet our new Cliffedale chicks.  No wonder we were all exhausted by the end of the day!

We have been exploring Stone Age art this term and have focused on how people from that time would create their own paints. We found some natural materials to experiment with making different colours. We then mixed our own paints with a mixture made of flour and water before adding items such as chalk, charcoal and spices. After that, we drew animals and painted them with the mixtures.

As part of our work on Incarnation, children in Year 3-4 came up with some questions to put to Jennie Fytche of the Lightspace organisation. The questions focused on her beliefs and how they impact on her everyday life. Jennie was really impressed by the quality of the questions and it has given her some more ideas for her collective worship visits.
