Useful websites to support learning

Little Wandle for Parents
https://wpe.littlewandlelettersandsounds.org.uk/resources/for-parents/
Here you will find a variety of resources to help you to support your child with Phonics at home. There are pronunciation videos to show you how to say each sound, letter formation phrases and the order in which we teach the sounds. You will also find videos that explain how we teach different aspects of Phonics, such as alien and tricky words. There is also a video that explains reading practice sessions and when reading books are sent home.

Phonics Play https://www.phonicsplay.co.uk/parents

Here you will find a selection of free Phonics resources and games to reinforce your child's learning in Phonics.

Teach Your Monster to Read

https://www.teachyourmonstertoread.com/

This resource is in a game format. The computer version is completely free, or the content can be purchased as an app for a small fee. The game gives children opportunities to practise their Phonics skills including recognising individual phonemes and tricky words, blending and segmenting while taking their own monster on a magical journey!

Top Marks https://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/5-7-years/counting

Here you will find a selection of free Maths games that we use in school. You can find a number of fun counting, matching, ordering, adding and subtracting games on this website.

Cbeebies https://www.bbc.co.uk/cbeebies

The Cbeebies website has a number of videos, games and stories available to support our 'Theme' work. You can often find some of our weekly stories being read by famous people on Cbeebies Bedtime Stories.
