Be the best that you can be
I began my teaching career in 2000 after completing a BA (Hons) in Primary Education. I spent ten years teaching in London, where I developed a wide range of skills and experience. After starting a family, I returned to Grantham and continued my career at a local primary school for a further fifteen years. During this time, I held several leadership roles, including Phonics Lead, Writing Lead, RE Lead, Assessment Lead, and EYFS Lead.
In 2024, I became the Deputy Headteacher at Cliffedale Primary School. I am deeply passionate about pupil wellbeing, restorative practices, and ensuring that all children have the opportunity to succeed. I have a particular interest in developing early writing skills and creating a supportive, nurturing environment in which every child can thrive.
As part of my role, I serve as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) and oversee attendance, pastoral support, and strategic development across the school. I work closely with families to provide guidance, remove barriers to learning, and help every child reach their full potential.
Outside of school, I am a proud mum of two wonderful girls and enjoy spending time exploring the countryside. I am proud to be a member of the Cliffedale community.
