Chris Andrews

Having lived in Grantham all my life — in fact, I was once the paperboy in Manthorpe! — I’ve always felt deeply connected to this community, it’s shaped me and helped me having that network of people over the years. Now that my son attends the school, I feel incredibly privileged to be able to give something back and play a part in helping the school continue to thrive.

I’ve spent my career leading large operational teams in Openreach, where I focus on people, performance, and creating environments where everyone can do their best work. That sense of shared purpose and opportunity is what drives me to contribute through governance. I want to support the school in providing every child with the very best start in life — one that builds confidence, curiosity, and ambition.

A little more about me

I’ve built my career within the telecommunications industry, currently working as a Director within BT Openreach, where I oversee large-scale operational strategy and transformation programmes. That experience has taught me the importance of clear communication, fairness, and accountability — all of which I believe are just as vital in education as they are in business.

Outside of work, my time is spent with my family, learning how to be a good Dad, on the touchline watching my son play football, or out and about around Grantham — the same community that’s shaped so much of my life growing up.

I’m proud to support the school and hope to make a small but meaningful contribution to its continued success.
